We are always looking for what will be a good fit and addition to our server portfolio. In the past months we have been testing one specific server, a server with support for 40 large form factor disks, a server from Huawei.
Huawei 5288 version 3
This server will not be replacing any current servers but will be a start of a new line of servers. One with a HBA controller instead of a raid controller. One with many large form factor disks (40). This server will be the new high performance storage box optimized for HBA.
The server is in stock and has just been added to our portfolio. We will be supporting them for the next years. It is already available in our server builder, click here if you want to check them out...
